‘Landscapes you must see’

The library I run has landscape images mostly belonging to Alain Proust and some of his work has been very highly rated, ranking up with some of the best landscape photographers of the world.

Click on the photo to see some great landscape photography from around the world including Alain’s images at the end.

This Klipdrift Brandy Advert was shot at our studio in Cape Town, South Africa

Anonymous asked: Hey where about you guys based in Cape Town??

hey sorry just saw this now…we are in Woodstock (basically the edge of the city centre)…!!!

I love this city…!!!! Cape Town from the air…shot for a tourism company and added to our library. The aerials have proved popular with large print requests as well as for calenders.

We had a great sunset…went up Table Mountain to shoot some pics and got this result…this is Lion’s Head and Signal Hill with the Cape Town city centre in the foreground.

Johannesburg Skyline…this is our biggest city in South Africa and was shot in summer 09.

This panoramic is a result of 8 photographs being stitched together.

So Ive worked on it a bit more…got rid of the seaweed in the front, think it gets a softer more appealing feel..also just released some prints at Exposure art gallery in the Biscuit Mill. Got some good feedback and some new requests. Not a bad start for the normally quieter winter months.

Added more than 100 pics to our online Library…this is one of almost 20 new Cape Town aerials that we shot on a helicopter trip last August.

Its a different angle and shows the new Stadium built for 2010 World Cup, nicely as well as a side view of Granger Bay and the Waterfront.

You can spend you life in the city but Table Mountain will never bore you…there is always a new angle and if its not the angle its the light or the cloud formations that just makes this mountain so special!

Of all the spots in Cape Town, paragliders most often use the slopes of Lion’s Head to launch from. The views are breathtaking such as this view over Camps Bay.

This was shot for advertising for a new development to be built on the slopes of Signal Hill, which is part of the Lion’s Head Mountain.
